Music To Support Dying
Music can be a great comfort both to the dying person and to the survivors who wait with them. Quiet, gentle music, such as favorite hymns, reflective songs and lullabies are very effective. The beautiful high tones of a harp are also soothing. When the music is sung without a strict rhythm, pausing and letting the phrase settle in, it helps the dying person relax and let go. Some recorded songs are supportive too. Here are two albums that I know of that have supportive music.
